I love Keith!
I stole this off of an old friend's blog who posted this a week or so ago. I love doing these question/ answer things and had never seen one all about your husband, so I thought it looked like fun.
1. Where did you meet? We met in August of 2003, in Orlando, at work. It was Keith's first day on the job (we both worked for the same place, I had already been working there a year) and it was a team building day at a ropes course.

Bye Jack!
Well. Tonight is a historic night in our house. Jack is gone for his first sleepover at his grandparents' house. Several times, we have gone away for the night or the weekend and grandma and grandpa have come to stay at our house with Jack. But tonight is the first night that HE is gone and WE are here.
It's... weird. And nice. And lonely.
And quiet. We do not have the tv on and the only sound other than me typing is Keith cooking downstairs. We were talking after Jack and Grammy first left and we realized that this is the first time in three years that we have been alone in out house for the whole night.
Jack is probably going to have the time of his life tonight. Grammy and Grandpoppy actually decorated a bedroom just for Jack with a really cute camping theme. They got a bed tent and a lantern light and curtains and everything. So, that's really pretty awesome that they did all that.
There's not much planned for us on our big night in. We actually both are sick, so our plan is to eat and watch tv and rest. We also have a lot of work to do because Jack's third birthday party is next week at the house.
Anyway, that's about it... just wanted to update everyone on our big boy and his first night away from home!
Some advice
A few pieces of advice for the little twenty year old girl who rear ended me yesterday:
1. When you rear end someone, no matter how hard or softly you hit them, don't let your first words be "Did I hit you?" upon getting out of the car.
2. No matter how slight the damage, don't try to talk me out of calling the police. I almost listened but am now glad I didn't.
3. You should, at some point, say, "I'm sorry."
4. By twenty, you should know what I mean when I say, "Do you have your insurance card?"
5. You really should be embarrassed by your rude mother, who upon driving over to check on you after the accident, insinuated that the damage to my car "might have already been there" and tried to blame the whole thing on me by saying to the police officer that her daughter told her that I had started to go, so she went, too.
Vacation!!!
Keith, Jack, and I are excitedly packing our bags as we prepare to head to the beach for a few days. We got a hotel room in Cocoa, right on the beach and we cannot wait to hang out and relax together. This is our big vacation for the year and we plan to enjoy every minute of it. Three days of no work, no school, no commuting, no laundry, no cooking (well, I don't cook, but Keith will enjoy that one). Woo hoo! Hope everyone is well!
Party Cakes
Keith just said something about Dolly Parton and Jack was listening. He tried to repeat her name, but it somehow got all mixed up in his brain and came out as "Party Cakes". Hmmm... if that's not poetic, I don't know what is.
Picture pages and a solo
Thanks to my slow internet connection, I just spent two hours buying and almost $50.00 on pictures. A few weeks ago, I realized that the last time we had bought any pictures of Jack was shortly after his first birthday. Well, his third birthday is in September, so I was struck with guilt and decided to start buying. At least we were taking pictures! So, now I have officially picked through all of our 2006 pictures and purchased everything I think we should have.
If I am sneaky enough, I will log back on to Kodak on Monday at work and try to get through 2007. The good news is we only took about half as many pictures last year, so hopefully it won't be so time consuming.
Now comes the frame shopping and picture hanging... but, have you seen my kid? He's so dang cute, it's all worth it.
Speaking of Jack, the other night his school had their end of the year program... where he sang a solo in front of like, 200 people! He did so great and didn't seem scared at all. He's the best!
Three days off!!!
Happy Memorial Day weekend! I am so happy to have three days off!!! Even though it's been awhile since my last post, there's not too much to report. Jack is great... he is perfecting the art of using the toilet and is keeping us laughing with the crazy things he says. Keith and I are again in work "countdown mode"-- looking forward to the summer, and then wondering why because we never end up being any less busy at work anyway.
We had a great visit from my stepdad, Brad a few weeks ago, which resulted in some good Grandpa Brad time for Jack.
Not much planned for us for this weekend, it's quickly becoming too hot to be outside for too long and places like the theme parks and beaches are becoming way too busy for our preference. We are tentively planning a weekend at the beach later this summer, and hopeful that maybe some of my family could even meet up with us... that's still in the early planning stages, so we'll see what happens. Have a great holiday weekend!!!
